PARK CITY, Utah, August 20, 2009 -- Accelegrow Technologies Inc. (ATI) and HD1 LLC have announced an alliance that will assist ATI with global business development, and will provide access to contacts and resources that facilitate and foster the success of the Company.
John R. Drexel IV and Dr. Janet Hawkes formed HD1 LLC to assist ATI in responding to issues of food security, critical environmental needs, and improving farmer’s yields globally with ATI's Accele-Grow-M™ product. Accele-Grow-M has been tested and used on many crops in diverse climate conditions and has proven to improve yields and quality substantially over normal farming conditions. Bill Jones, Chairman and CEO of ATI, stated that "the relationship between HD1 LLC and Accelegrow Technologies will be a cornerstone of the company as we prepare to assist farmers worldwide to improve and increase their food production."
Mr. Drexel and Dr. Hawkes have worked to assist many companies to achieve success through their business expertise and extensive global contacts. Dr. Hawkes and Mr. Drexel stated that "they are very pleased with this new opportunity to assist ATI in developing its considerable potential."
Mr. Drexel is Chairman of Sage Advisors LLC, a provider of investment and business services. The firm’s current focus is on mobile power generation, K-12 education, life science, agriculture, and alternative energy. Mr. Drexel is on the Boards of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute, The Pilgrims Foundation, and The Atlantic Partnership. Mr. Drexel was previously President of Concord Capital Management and President and CEO of Kidder, Peabody International Investments, among numerous other positions. He has served on the staff of former US Senator Claiborne Pell and on the boards of Drexel University, The New Zealand Trade and Industry Advisory Board, and several Advisory Boards of the United Nations and its Agencies, among others.
Janet Hawkes has extensive experience in horticulture, agriculture, agroforestry, and environmental sciences. She was recently Director of the Cornell Educational Resources Program in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. A consultant since 1986, she has worked with a wide array of businesses, organizations, agencies, and governments on environmental and agricultural projects and programs. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the United Nations Food and Agriculture “The Growing Connections” Program and as an advisor to Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture among other board positions. Janet is currently a Strategic Partner and CTO of RPM Ecosystems LLC.
